Royal Society of Arts (RSA) Made Natural - How might we create sustainable, nature-based solutions which use trees to protect the environment and strengthen communities?
In response to the RSA competition, my peers, Will Naylor, Francesca Particelli,
and I collaborated to develop a concept titled "Sustainable Death." Our innovative idea centers on the creation of memorial parks that serve as sustainable, nature-based solutions to environmental protection and community empowerment.
Our propsal revolved around the creation of memorial parks that seamlessly integrate life, death, and community. These parks would incorporate carbon-capturing trees, eco-urns, and interactive QR memorials, aiming to provide green spaces while honoring loved ones. The concept also emphasised fostering biodiversity and promoting sustainable burials and nature access within these memorial parks.
